Rock music performances, Serbian hits and Rroma rhythms during the second Eurovision Romania semi-final
The series of shows of the National Selection continue on Sunday, January 28th, in Timişoara, with the second semi-final. The show will take place in surprising scenery, in the former imperial bastion which hosts today Hall 2 of the National Theatre „Mihai Eminescu” from Timişoara. The stage comprehends 90 square metres of LED screens and 200 lights projectors

The show will be opened by Ricardo Caria. He lives in Arad city but was born in Portugal. He will perform the winning song of Eurovision 2017, „Amar Pelos Dois”- song that has brought a complete success to Salvador Sobral – the winner of Eurovision 2017. And, because Sobral has brought the international final in Portugal, Ricardo Caria will come back on Timisoara stage in order to end the live transmission with a song dedicated to Lisbon – the capital of European music.
Eurovision fans will also have the chance to see on stage the Serbian singer Neda Ukraden, the best sold artist in Serbia. Then the public will get more energetic by listening to the music of Lavinia Răducanu, known as the crystal voice of Europe .The singer will perform the song „Chaven romane”, launched in Paris and two other songs in the first audition.
Before the jury announces the three finalists of the evening, the hall will vibrate alongside the legendary band originated from Timisoara – Cargo –who will perform, in premiere, their new single “Românie, te strig!” and other songs which have written history in the Romanian rock.
On January 28th, TVR’s viewers will find out live, starting from 21 hrs, the three finalists of the Timisoara semi-final within the show hosted by Diana Dumitrescu and Cezar Ouatu. The two artists will be supported from the Green Room by Dorina Talpeş, a presenter for TVR Timişoara, who will gather all the impressions, reactions and emotions of the artists.
In the background of an impressive scenery the winners, the jury members made up of – Marian Ionescu, Ilinca Băcilă, Nicu Patoi, Liliana Ştefan, Viorel Gavrilă – amd the hosts will have a press conference live on TVR 1, TVR HD, TVR Internaţional and TVR Moldova as well as on TVR+.
One evening before the Sunday show, on Saturday, live on TVR, starting from 22 hrs, we will watch „The backstage of Eurovision 2018“, a series of live programmes about the latest preparations for the shows, impressions, photos from the rehearsals and from the pre-press conferences.
