The public chooses the Eurovision winner, at TVR
Only two days separate us from the moment when the Romanians choose their representative pf this year’s Eurovision contest.
In the end of the five shows of the National Selection semi-finals, a premiere in the Eurovision Romania history we will see 15 songs competing on Sunday, on Polivalenta Hall stage, in Bucharest. The show will be broadcast live on TVR 1, TVRi, TVR Moldova and on TVR+. The show is made for Romanian Television in partnership with the Bucharest City Hall, through ARCUB.
Within a show that will take our breath away, the public will choose the song that will be heard on the Lisbon stage. Only one of the 15 songs will be designated through telephone-voting the winner of the Eurovision National Selection 2018.
Feli („Bună De Iubit”), MIHAI („Heaven”), Jukebox feat Bella Santiago („Auzi Cum Bate”), The HUMANS („Goodbye”), Eduard Santha („Mesom Romales”), Teodora Dinu („Fly”), Dora Gaitanovici („Fără Tine”), Claudia Andas („The One”) , TIRI („Deşert De Sentimente”), Erminio Sinni & Tiziana Camelin („All The Love Away”), Xandra („Try”), VYROS („La La La”), Alexia & Matei („Walking On Water”), Echoes („Mirror”) and RAFAEL & Friends („We Are One”) are competing on Sunday, live on TVR 1, TVRi, TVR Moldova and on TVR+.
Diana Dumitrescu and Cezar Ouatu are the hosts of the final show. They will be joined by Ioana Voicu and Sonia Argint Ionescu, who will accompany the competitors in the Green Room in order to witness the very emotions and impressions of the artists.
For the Big Final, Romanian Television organises a huge show at Polivalenta Hall, with a lot of surprises. A team of 300 people, coordinated by the director Petre Năstase, prepares a show which will have two stages, 350 m2 of square LEDs and a laser show, and 14 cameras, will closely watch all the moments, bringing this way the show in the homes of the viewers.
Alex Calancea Band will have the performance of the evening with a fusion of authentic folklore, „a capricious bass”, charismatic voices and modern rhythms. „WOLVES” is a project which brings back the motives, the stories and the ballads of the outlawry. Alex Calancea, Guz, Andrei Glavan (RUPT) and the instrument players will all let themselves carried away by the emotion of the moment and by the improvisation in front of the public, who will slowly become an accomplice of the show.
Ilinca – our representative at this year’s Eurovision edition – will close the first part of the show with her latest hit – „Nu acum – Not now”, a song launched just a week before.
Moldova’s representative at Eurovision will interpret for the first time the song which will represent the neighbouring country on the Lisbon stage. The inhabitants of Moldova will choose their representative on Saturday, and will perform his winning song for the first time at iar TVR.
The public votes for one hour and chooses Romania’s representative at Eurovision 2018.
The vote will be expressed by sending the entrance number of their favourite singer within the contest (01, 02, 03,…15), by SMS, at the telephone number 1264 (price: 0.4 euro + VAT), a number valid for Mobil, Orange, Telekom and Vodafone mobile networks, or by calling the same number – 1264 – and press the number of their favourite singer from the contest (01, 02, 03… 15), with the same price (0.4 euro + VAT /call) valid for Orange, Telekom and Vodafone mobile networks.
There will be only one vote from each telephone number.
The telephone lines will be opened at the signal „START VOTE!”, and will close in 60 minutes, at the signal „STOP VOTE!”
